Customer service is not dead – Acme Climbing proved it

customer-service.jpgContrary to some experiences that have left a bad taste in my mouth, today I have learned that customer service is not dead. Early last week the team ordered some climbing equipment from the folks at Acme Climbing. After waiting several days for the tracking number, I started to get paranoid as we had less than a week before we shipped out. A quick call to customer service told me that my package had literally just left the store, but the ground shipping would get it to Atlanta after we left for Abu Dhabi. The wonderful woman (sorry I didn’t get your name) who was on the phone ran out the door, chased down the UPS truck and pulled the package off. They proceeded to relabel as 3 day shipping, and even took the package to another UPS pickup point so it wasn’t delayed another day. I don’t know about you, but that’s great customer service and I appreciate the extra effort.
